PM will have to come to the Court: CJ

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, in his speech at the hearing of cases of review NRO said Monday Federation represents the Prime Minister and if nobody comes forward to present the arguments in the case and then "PM itself will come to the Court" Geo News reported.

"Where NRO reviews the petition is dismissed, then hearing another case of implementation of NRO will be immediately be started," the Chief Justice said while in the position of a full 17-court judge who was seized of the request for examination NRO.

At the hearing, conducted CJ Attorney General Maulvi Anwar-ul-Haq to present the arguments but in response he said that he had no instructions to do so.

On this, the CJ expresses its dismay in his remarks, saying that the Federation trust neither the Attorney General nor the Attorney General additional K K Agha or Kamal Azfar or advocate in the record. He asked to "who is the Federation trusts really?".

Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, said that the case of the NRO implementation was suspended for the request for examination NRO should be disposed of first. "Once the case of the NRO review is dismissed, NRO implementation case hearing be immediately resumed," he added.

He said the ANR had been sent to Parliament, but even there, it was unaffected.

The Attorney General told the Court that the Government intended to appoint a lawyer of his own and requested time of a day, saying that he would inform the Court on the progress of the future.

Court apex occasionally issued show cause notice of folder Raja Abdul Ghafoor and Nasir Ali Shah counsel on misrepresentation of facts.

Later, the hearing of the request for examination NRO was adjourned until Tuesday.
